Meditation practice is one of the most important foundational tools in any spiritual path. It allows us to directly experience the chaotic, toxic nature of our mind in a safe and simple way, to observe and release our negative thought patterns, and to develop a more grounded, clear, healthy relationship with our internal mental and emotional processes.
While many people think of meditation as a way of achieving some ecstatic state in order to escape the difficulties of day-to-day life, in fact, meditation can be a powerful technique to help us more effectively handle the difficulties of day-to-day life in a practical way. And while meditation practice seems like the very essence of simplicity, it can actually be very challenging, not only to do the meditation itself, but also to establish it as an ongoing regular practice in your life, which takes time, energy, discipline, and commitment.
